Political and societal discourse is on the decline. Activist Ryan Dowling lost his life to Ryan Carson in New York City, and the political right jumped in with obvious political hypocrisy to use this tragedy to forward their false narrative about crime statistics in New York City.
At that time, murd*r rate in NYC was down 11% from last year, and overall crime was down 5%.
Facts and statistics show that the 25 "Red States" that voted for Donald Trump in the last Presidential Election have higher crime rates than the 25 "Blue States" that voted for President Joe Biden.

There has been a longer period of Black Americans not having access to equal opportunities in education than there have been laws in place to level the educational playing field. Black American tax dollars have gone into the financial pot to support public schools when Black American children have not had equal access to those schools and quality education. What are the effects of this and how do we right the wrong of it all?
